SURPRISING FACTS ABOUT NEW BORN BABIES


  • Babies don’t produce tears: Even though babies cry a lot in the early weeks, but you might notice that no matter how red their little face gets, no actual tears reach their cheeks. It is because, while newborns are born with tear ducts, there is only enough water produced to protect the eye.
  • Big eyes: We all know babies have beautiful eyes but did you ever notice that their eyes are almost as big as an adult’s.
  • Babies are born with the ability to swim:
Babies naturally hold their breath when underwater, and even splash about with their arms and legs. If you take your baby to a swimming class you’ll see these innate talents in action.
  • Newborns are short-sighted: Newborn babies can only see clearly about 20cm to 30cm (8in to 12in) in front of their faces. Everything else is a blur of light, shape and movement. 
  • One cup of blood:  A baby is born with no bacteria in the body and he is born with just one cup of blood in this body.
  • More bones than Adults: A newborn baby qhas 300 bones in their body, Some of the bones babies have are made up of cartilage that allows them to be less prone to bone breaks while they are learning to crawl and walk. As they grow, those bones fuse together to form the 206 bones.
  • Repairs the damaged organ: During the pregnancy, if the baby suffers from organ damage, the baby in the womb sends stem cells to repair the damaged organ.
  • Babies wants to put everything in mouth: We all are aware of this fact. Babies want to put everything in their mouth. He may be too young to chew on your keys but that does not mean he does not want to. A French research has suggested that babies are born with an innate desire to put everything in their mouth
  • Babies grow mustaches in the womb: When a baby is around four months old, he grows a mustache that spreads to the entire body  This hair is called lanugo. It falls all before the birth of the child and is eaten by them. The digested hair becomes a part of this first poop.
